BioAhoy there, mates! Welcome to the HMS Mercury, my ship and my life. I'm a history buff from Chicago who loves the Napoleonic wars and Nelson, Lord of the Rings and British literature in general, and Creatively Writing. Now a college student at a fairly unknown liberal arts school in the northern Midwest part of the United States, my current project of note is a "Napoleonic crossover of epic proportions" involving many of Jane Austen's novels, Patrick O'Brien's Master and Commander Series, C.S. Forester's Horatio Hornblower, Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace, William Makepeace Thackeray's Vanity Fair, and other various and assorted fandoms.
When I'm not ruminating on how to ruin the lives of the Darcy and Aubrey kids, I enjoy writing on Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, National Treasure, and my own historical fiction short stories. I'm also currently stalled on my third attempt at following up on the ambition to write the slightly less than great and perhaps not so american novel and in the meanwhile continue to write bad poetry and annoy my roommate with my classical music enjoying and tea-drinking habits.
